Gone fishin'

There will be no Escapist Routes for the next couple of weeks, as I had to travel interstate earlier than expected due to a family health situation. (Which is somewhat resolved, in that the immediate danger has passed and my relative has been discharged from hospital, but also she is not allowed to drive or be left alone for long stretches, sooooo…)

I hope to resume writing about Pluribus at some point, and we’ll get back to business as usual early in 2026, but in the meantime, why not take a moment to familiarise yourself with the signs of a heart attack in AFAB people? Despite affecting half the human population, these typical symptoms are called “abnormal” and not recognised as widely as they should be. Even, it turns out, by hospital staff. but enough about the terse letter I will be sending in the new year.

In the meantime, I’m watching the cricket with my family. I don’t understand the plot, and I’m told there’s quite a lot of canon to catch up on, but you can’t deny the dialogue is great.
